Simple Staples: Creating a capsule jewellery collection with 3 key pieces.

Updated: Mar 14, 2022

A capsule jewellery collection is a small selection of quality pieces that you will wear again and again. Jewellery that can be worn alone or mixed with your own.

Whether you’re just starting to build your handmade jewellery collection or want to add to your current jewels, creating a small capsule collection of jewellery is the perfect way of investing in pieces that will last you forever.

I am a firm believer in less is more. Having a few key pieces that you love for your everyday wear. Pieces that you don’t have to think too much about - you just know they will pair with everything. When deciding what jewellery to invest in, firstly you need to decide what colour metal you wear most often, I prefer yellow gold and wear it everyday. I find it’s a classic choice and it will never go out of style.

Design wise, keeping it simple and timeless is key when building your collection. Choose pieces that will work with everything. Investing in designs that are low maintenance and can be worn everyday, means you can effortlessly mix and match.

Building a collection of handmade jewellery means you will have pieces that are timeless and that don't follow trends. They will be in style forever.

So, if you’re thinking of creating a capsule jewellery collection, here are my top three suggestions to start with and remember you can always add to your collection over the years.

1. Classic bangle

As the name suggests - a classic!

I wear mine every single day. It can be worn alongside dainty little chain bracelets, or you can stack with more bangles. This looks amazing with a classic pearl bracelet. It also looks great worn with your watch. A bangle is the most elegant piece to invest in and you will love wearing this for many many years to come. Shop the Classic bangle

2. Diamond Horizon ring

This simple, contemporary take on a classic diamond solitaire ring can be worn alone, allowing the off set diamond to speak for itself or stacked with your own rings, beautiful either way.

The Horizon ring also looks amazing beside an eternity ring or wedding band.

3. Mini EOS necklace

A simple, delicate necklace in satin gold, will work along side so many other pieces or with any outfit. The simple round shape is always a good choice, and will pair with most pieces. Choosing a plain piece with no coloured gemstones means it will work with your own jewellery and will match with anything. Shop the Mini Eos necklace here

They are my top three recommendations for starting or building on your existing jewellery collection. Keep it simple and most of all enjoy wearing your jewellery everyday!
